Preacher Bio:
We are a Welsh metal band from Cardiff, formed in April 2010. The band’s music is influenced mainly by classic heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeth; however there are clear influences from other genres.
The band’s first EP, Elemental, was self recorded in early 2011 and was met with a positive response, enabling the band to go on their first UK tour in the summer of 2011 with Achilla. The tour saw the band broaden their following and the experience encouraged the writing of their debut album.
The writing process for Counterfeit Penitence began in the autumn of 2011 and was again self recorded. This album contains 10 tracks that capture the diversity of the band’s musical capability, varying from punishing thrash riffs to thought provoking melodic textures. The band hope that when this is released in 2013 that it will enable them to push their early success to the next level and allow them to perform their music to a wider audience. |
