His name is Norman B. Ashley, Jr.; an aspiring writer/rap artist of 15+yrs. He goes by the rap artist name of "Hostile" AKA Choclito De Coco. Originally from Brooklyn, NY (921 Myrtle Ave...Tompkins Projects...just 2 blocks from Marcy Projects). Hostile has performed at a Stephon Marbury benefit in 1999, Freaknik 2000 in TX; which included performances from Nelly, Case, Swisha House, Miracle, and The Youngbloodz; opened for The Geto Boys, The Dayton Family, Jaheim, and Swisha House All-Stars...he also did a "bum-rush" of WKIIZ in Harker Heights,TX---where Hostile went to the station and freestyled for Radio On-Air Personality/ Co-Host David Jordan who in turn introduced Hostile to the head Radio On-Air Personality / Morning Show Host and eventual Production Manager Mychal Maguire who at first had Hostile come in as a special guest on-air personality which led to him doing commercial spots, and CO-hosting Talent Tuesday and Local Lyrics Saturday. All this while serving his country in a career in the military at Fort Hood, TX. Hostile's latest attempt at " the biz" was 2003 in NYC at MTV's Def Jam Vendetta Talent Search. As a considerably talented artist, with 15+yrs experience: including numerous live performances, as well as recognition and collaboration with Hip-Hop legends such as Sha-Rock (of the Funky Four + 1);In a recent interview Hostile discussed the industry and his place in the machine..."I love music and dedicate myself to my art wholeheartedly. Currently Hostile resides in Elmira, NY (Da 6th Borough). Home of 2 maximum security prisons; as well as the home and birthplace of Tommy Hilfiger, Mark Twain, Ernie Davis, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Hal Roach...talent! Both Hostile and Jerome Emanuel will be in the Edge1 studio's the end of this month to lay down 3 new tracks with some "special guest" vocalists and if you are in the right place at the right time you may even get to catch them crashin' a local NYC show to premiere some of the new material...

At 12:16 EST, 05 March 2005; Norman B. Ashley Jr. p/k/a Hostile a.k.a Choclito DeCoco, officially became the newest addition to the Royce Records line-up. Out of Miami, Fl; Royce Records has signed exclusive rights to "Hostile" and has created an east coast/west coast combo aptly named "The Border Boyz". The west coast is represented in the form of "Freejack"; already a 3x'z platinum artist with appearances on Tupac's "Thug Angel" soundtrack and the up-and-coming "Detox" album.
