The Madcap Laughs Bio:

The Madcap Laughs are a band from the UK wanting to become one of the most innovative and enduring bands of the 21st century. Supposedly without being arrogant, they claim they write music for themselves and for an audience who don't only want to listen to music, but want to feel it, to embrace it, to become one and entwine with the magical sound.

They are The Madcap Laughs and have ways of life of their own.

The music is to some great, to many more not their cup of tea. But to me, well I love it; from the moving nature of Jack's strings to the funky bass of Vern, and let's not forget Mr. Leigh's guitar solos that hit you like a ton of bricks. This band are truly on the way to becoming sonic pioneers.

The EP ‘The Pith Of Eleutheria’ went down a treat with the small but growing fan base of The Madcap Laughs. There is a pleasant wait that surrounds the followers of the band for the album ‘The Esoteric Tales Of The Luminous Sun’ which has been put on hold due to recording difficulties.

However, once the album has been recorded, the band will go on a short break. Jack, the keyboardist, will continue studying music at College. Mike, the lead guitarist, will finish his last year studying music at Chester University. Ryan, the bassist, will be gaining a degree at the end of the year in History and Journalism. Louie, the singer, guitarist and songwriter, will be busking and hitch hiking his way through Europe. And finally, Jonny, the drummer, will be attending his first year of University; he will also be studying music at Chester.

Another EP to follow the album has been written and is planned to be recorded in Feb 2012.

Nothing is firmly planned, as the band likes to ride the tide and see what happens, however the neo-prog rock group can confirm music is what keeps them going.
