Sir Ari Gold Bio:

Lower East Side native and openly **** pop artist Sir Ari Gold is a buzz worthy, subculture celebrity in his own right, quickly winning over critics far beyond the reach of the LGBT community. In a “TrueBlood meets Mad Men fantasy dreamscape” Ari’s music video for his single “Make My Body Rock” captivates attention with bold imagery and a dirty beat with just enough grit to satisfy even the pickiest of ears.

His music always pushes the boundaries of what it means to be Pop, and audiences and critics all take heed. “[His music] takes the listener to fresh places,” says People Magazine. Ari’s recognition range from an Independent Music Award, to multiple Outmusic Awards, to “Decade Of Achievement” Award from the LGBT Expo. Sir Ari was even knighted by the Imperial Court of New York.

An advocate and icon for the **** community, Ari has performed alongside other legendary and iconic artists such as Chaka Khan, Debbie Harry, and Cyndi Lauper. “Make My Body Rock” is featured on Ari’s fourth studio album, Between the Spirit & the Flesh, available on iTunes

Featuring guest vocals by Sarah Dash, best known from the original Labelle w/ Patti Labelle and Nona Hendrix. Video also includes cameos by underground NYC superstars, LadyFag, Stephan Keating, Mila Jam, Laverne Cox (from VH-1's Transform Me) and even a cameo from Ari's Mom. As the mainstream catches up to what this pioneering recording and performing artist has known all along, "Sparkle" continues Sir Ari’s unwavering commitment to LGBT rights and equality.
