I found an old picture of my dear friend Ray tonight, and it made me want to google him again. When he passed, the internet was too new, and when I've googled him in the past, nothing. I found this page that Ken posted tonight, and it brought many tears. Ray was one of the dearest people I've known, and I love and miss him still. To hear his voice again was such a lovely surprise. What a beautiful soul.

I went to high school with Ray. He tried to teach me how to play Bass Guitar.
I heard that he passed some tome ago and something made me think of him just now. The band played for our school one time you all were amazing. I know that he loved all music and knowing him and learning from him, made me look at all music a different way. May the peace of The Lord be with you, my friend.
Thank you for this site,
Tom

I just want to say thank you for having this online to share. For years now, when I get emotional (can be happy or sad), I often come here to have a listen. My uncle's voice is soothing and puts me in a good place. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ray was one of my older brothers (1 of 6 brothers!). I love and miss him everyday....no matter how much time has passed. He was truly our Music Man. Fortunately, my other brothers are musically talented so he lives on in all of us! Thanks for remembering him like this Ken!!

Ray Kepel was a very dear and good friend of mine while I was living in Aloha OR back in 1977-1979. I can still see him on his rhythm guitar...and building an igloo in the backyard of his parents' home, the very 1st time I've ever seen snow. I can still hear him bellowing with laughter while we watched SNL. He was the 1st true guy friend I ever had. I am deeply saddened on learning of this loss. I will miss him dearly.
