Jimmy Packes Bio:

Jimmy is well known in the music industry for his stellar guitar playing, musical compositions as well as his professional attitude and stage prescence. Having worked with Blackfoot, Steve Morse, Queesnsryche, Pat Travers, Robin Trower, Loudness, members of Starz, Zebra, The Good Rats and Wendy O. Willams, to name a few, led him to job offers with Joe Satriani (as a bass player), and the guitar spots for Ozzy Osbourne, Guns n' Roses, Never The Bride, David Lee Roth, 21 Guns and Faith No More. He has released a number of albums and singles independently on his own Azimuth Jag records.

He first came to international prominence with the release of his albums Axxe To Grind, which was recorded entirely on 4-track, and Black Market both of which he engineered and produced. He has released a number of albums independently including Axxe To Grind, Black Market, One Brief Shining Moment, The Sky's the Limit, Thunder and Lightning and Seven. He was also the first musician to release an internet only album. He has a done number of tours in the US & Europe.

Jimmy has worked for Voyetra Turtle Beach where, among his other duties, he provided virtual guitar lessons, which are available for download, as well as providing the music graphics for the Music Write Songwriter and Music Write Starter Kit retail boxes. He was also a member of the Xentronix team for the BeOS vst/vsti ports.

He has done audio demos and audio loops for Voyetra Turtle Beach, refx software, Xentronix, Anarchy Sound software, Ableton, Ohmforce, Arturia software, GMedia, Sonic Reef and Andrea Anzani (independent developer of XRS for the BeOS). Jimmy has also been instrumental in having software, specifically VST and VSTi plugins, ported to the BeOS from companies such as Camel Audio, Palancar Wares and Rumpelrausch Taips. Jimmy has been an extremely vocal advocate of the BeOS regarding it's superior audio quality and has contributed a number of articles and news items to LeBuzz, the audio site for the BeOS, as well as publishing a number of articles on computers and audio on various web sites. You can read some articles and opinions here. He is an authority on installing/using Turtle Beach sound cards with various operating systems

He is well known in the computer audio software industry for his integrity, audio demos/loops, hard work and dedication to a given project as well as his beta testing capabilities. In between album projects and live shows he produces audio loops through his own Anjel Blue Productions.

Jimmy and his new band, N.O.S. are currently rehearsing for live shows.
