The Comparison Ford
The Comparison Ford Bio:

The Comparison Ford (TCF) is a four piece heavy rock band likened to bands such as Therapy?, Yob and Helmet, and they blend powerful, driven melodies with clear, catchy riffs, and hooky vocal melodies. The four members of TCF have been writing, practicing and recording numerous songs over the last year, and have recently released a preview of their first song, called “Haircuts and Attitudes”. The song proficiently displays the bands ability to yield Sabbathesque ‘heaviness’ without the sacrifice of the down-tuned guitars sounding muddy or washed.

TCF began life as a jam band at the end of 2007, where the remaining members of the dissolved band “(inside)” were able to vent new and different material that was beginning to surface towards the end of (inside)s lifetime. The band consisted of Andrew Graham on drums, Andrew Morrison on guitar and Mark Ingram on guitar and vocals, and the initial ‘sound’ of the band at this stage could be likened to a heavily distorted early Sabbath with longer ‘progressive’ melodies in the vein of Tool and Baroness.

All three members quickly realised that in order to have the complete freedom to compose sonically sound songs, a dedicated bass player would be necessary. Adam McCausland answered the call, switching from his usual guitar and keyboard roles to provide the spine from which the guitar rhythms could fix themselves to.

2010 has a lot of big things in store for The Comparison Ford, including, the recording and release of an EP, gigging throughout Ireland and the recording and release of associated music videos.

The band is compromised of four seasoned local musicians:

Drums - Andrew Graham was drummer for previous band (inside) and has played in various other side projects throughout Northern Ireland.

Bass/Vocals - Adam McCausland is the brains behind Fragile Human Organs and numerous other side projects. He switched from guitar to bass for the Comparison Ford.

Guitar - Andrew Morrison was the bass player for previous band (inside), and has played in Zerotonin, The Metropolice and The Black Tokens . He switched from bass to guitar for the Comparison Ford.

Guitar/Vocals - Mark Ingram was the guitarist and singer for previous band (inside), and has played in various other bands including The Doctors in Session acoustic trio.
