His strong, emotional voice and intelligent song craft has often drawn comparisons to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, U2, Bruce Springsteen and even (at times) Don McLean and Leonard Cohen; artists searching for the gray areas between artistic vision and pop-sensibility.

Ben has played with and supported many artists, notabley including Pete Murray, the Whitlams, Diesel, Moving Pictures, Bertie Blackman, Iota, Old Man River and Rene Geyer.

He has released 2 albums, In the Absence of Fear (early 2006) and the brand new Social Architecture (2007). In 2006, a demo for the song 'Help Me Find my way', which appears on Social Architecture, won an award at the first Q-Music "Q Song Awards".
