<itunes:summary>Steve Gofstein has been playing music professionally since 1992. Playing in the bands Spastik Laugh, Alert, Swivel, 357 Noise, Gin Grass Band, Smokebomb Experience, and Elements of Seven. Most of this part of Steve’s career consisted of playing underground shows. Steve formed a band with Co-Artists Ed Romano, Ash Berman, and Dave Vandette called Damelatones Groove in the year 2000. This is when Steve’s music career started to head in a real serious direction. Damelatones Groove played throughout New England, and Northern California. After a creative difference problem, Steve and Ed Romano formed Four Weeks From Friday, a band that went on to play the Middle East in Boston, winning the first round of a battle of the bands then on to the Paradise Rock Club to come in second place of that competition. The band eventually dismembered.<br />
<br />
The current project, Steve Gofstein Band, is a collection of songs that Steve has written and performed with many different musicians. SGB is a revolving door of musicians that Steve carefully hand picks to help represent each song he has written.. This compilation of the eclectic styles that Steve has accumulated over the past 15 years of playing music, expresses the various feelings and experiences that Steve as an artist has developed into a fine tuned mature sound. <br />

Steve Gofstein holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Berklee College of Music and has booked Jazz concerts professionally in Las Vegas Nevada along side legendary promoter Michael Schivo. </itunes:summary>
