Taken Bio:

Taken is composed of me, Jamaica Jones(J.Tyree), 16 and my best friend India Brown(Iddie), 16. We live in St.Louis MO and we have our whole lives. We met in middle school (GAteway Middle) in the eith grade and didn't really know each other and when we got to high school we had almost every class together and we got really close. WE start hanging out alot and we found that we both had the same passion for music. We consatnty change the words to the song to make it our own and one day we decided to persue our dreams to do what we love. Now we are in the eleventh grade at Gateway High School and we are really getting into it. We aren't able to be committed as we wish to be because of school and everything but we stiil always make time everyday to devote to our music. If its just going over a song or singing someone elses song we keep are pipes clean and in tune just in case the day comes and we have the oppotunity to show someone our talent. God has blessed us with these voices and we wanna bless the world with what has been given us.

The story behind our name is a crazy one. We were trying to think of something to call ourselves but we didn't want it to be too plain but we didn't want it to be to Hollywood. And we would constantly say that we would stay humble and remember where we came from and not let all the fame, when we get it, get to our heads. SO one day we were talking to India's grandmother and she told us to remember that we were childs of the most highest king and that we shouldn't let the world trap us. WE already belong to someone; GOD. And thats where the name taken comes from.

We always say that we just want one chance to prove to the world that we ren't just pretty faces with ghetto attitudes. We are very talented and if we everyy get the chance to show what we are about we're sure you would love it and if you don't thanks for your time.
