Biography:

...The name alone is enough to stir up a reaction. When combined with the sounds and lyrics this group produces, DROP DEAD! aims to shake up the very foundation of the bourgeoise myth of the "rock band". Putting radical politics alongside strong drums beats and guitars riffs, DROP DEAD! creates a passionate atmosphere in which progressive and hopeful ideas are communicated, going against the sea in a conservative world where hopelessness and desperation, war and misery are law. In their live presentations, the energy that unfolds from scene creates feedback with the audience, singing and dancing each one of their youth hymns came songs, celebrating life and the right to live it...

The powerful and romantic rock sound of DROP DEAD! comes to world of music with a diverse, fresh and creative first long-play record totally independent, For everyone and no one. Musically, the album explores differents sides of the Argentine quartet; from its energic and vibrant beginning, going throught balads and with experimental extremes. Conceptual record that unites NIRVANA, FAITH NO MORE, PEARL JAM, BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, THE MANIC STREET PREACHERS and AT THE DRIVE IN. A step forward in modern rock music facing the new century. DROP DEAD!. The name alone is enough to stir up a reaction. When combined with the sounds and lyrics this group produces, DROP DEAD! aims to shake up the very foundation of the bourgeoise myth of the "rock band". Putting radical politics alongside strong drums beats and guitar’s riffs, DROP DEAD! creates a passionate atmosphere in which progressive and hopeful ideas are communicated, going against the sea in a conservative world where hopelessness and desperation, war and misery are law. In their live presentations, the energy that unfolds from scene creates feedback with the audience, singing and dancing each one of their youth hymns came songs, celebrating life and the right to live it.

Finished forming at the beginning of the 2000, DROP DEAD! went throught several changes of members until they got to find the formation suitable to shape what the band is. Their first homonymous demo of nine songs (eight original ones and a cover of Pink Floyd) entered the world of independent music in a ‘difficult’ way, being the only underground band to sing in english in an hispanic country and to put its disc able to download complete from their website, obtaining interest of foreign listeners. Not interested in low down the intensity, DROP DEAD! worked in A Leaf in the Storm, a CD with rare and live versions of their songs, in whose graphic and shows they’ve combined the musical experimentation and an anticivilization manifest, the EP of only five songs worked as a presentation of their next album. After a year of preparation and with a budget of only 100 €, DROP DEAD! came back to studio to create a professional album that takes them away the place they where, comparing with any hierarchy foreign band. The final result is For everyone and no one... twelve songs that not only tries to paint the state of the world, but also changing it. Purely inspired in the Franch May of 1968, the conceptual album explores diverse climates and changes without the necessity of any pedal of effect, nor edition effects, just the interpretation of the band in crude.
