Magenta are a new "Rock" band to the Dublin Scene. (Front man Stevin, Bassist Kevin, Guitarist James and Drummer Eddie) The Quartet formed in the small isolated village of Rush in late April 2007. Nice... Its something beyond and distant from the loud/quiet/loud/louder music, with rough edges and a sarcastic/cynical feel to it. Nothing like the fun loving guys in the band....... After a successful 2007, a year of which the band gigged to its bitter bones, got good reviews and write ups in local newspapers, won second place against Unite Tribe in "The Coyote Battle of the Bands" and had interviews and acoustic performances on radio shows PURE PHASE and NEAR FM SHOWCASE. The band are looking forward to hitting Dublin once again, maybe traveling, writing and finishing off recording some home demo's.
