Yung AZ
Yung AZ Bio:

Born July, 15, 1987 David (which is his middle name) Molina Owin Jr. in Tucson, Arizona was always around musical influence. Born from a father which was an accomplished guitar player and writer from upstate New York, and a mother who listened to everything from Aerosmith to Mana.Roughly around the age of 4 Jr's father left the household in which him and his brother grew up in on the Southside of Tucson due to drug related problems, Jr's hatred for his father grew and quickly released into musical outbursts. Yrs passed at that time, Jr and his younger sibling recieved a package around Christmas time which contained a small drum kit and guitar from his long left father. Jr took advantage of this gift and used it to the best of his ability, with his brother using the guitar, Jr honed his talent for beats and picked up the drum kit quite fast "The sounds coming out of that drum kit were ridiculous, Ive never been so happy" replies Jr. Not more than maybe a year after that Jr was at a family friends house, and listened to what may have been the reason for the birth of Yung AZ, a song by Bone Thugs N Harmony "It was "Crossroads" by Bone Thugs, that **** blew my mind, and all of a sudden I knew I needed more of rap, I was craving that ****, I couldnt get enough" "maybe a couple of days after, I hear "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio and LL Cool J's "Cant live without my radio" "my mind was set, I wasnt coming back to reality" 6years passed and Jr discovered the art of beatboxing. "In my heart I always wanted to rap, but I hooked up with some cats from Douglas who rapped and I was the shy type, so id be the cat kickin beats at parties for them to spit". Not too longer after that, Jr. realized it was all for the love of hip hop and got into the freestyle scene. "What set it off, I was at a party and battled a cat that used to call himself LSC for Little Sick Crazy". Which Jr says is now known as Drug-Like from his label he is currently with. "We talked bout rap, beats, studio time everything. We hook up with a guy who used to make beats for DL and maybe bout a year after that "Legend" rises from the beat making and creates 7th. Street Records" After making friends with the local rappers, Jr. sets off back to Tucson from Douglas and releases what happens to be one of his biggest stepping stones for his musical career, a track called "Hood Anthem" and adopts the stage name "Yung AZ". "Not too long before that I get locked up and my second tattoo I get is an AZ for Arizona on my left arm, it seemed appropriate for my stand point at that time, and it kinda stuck cuz im all bout where I come from and its a reminder to me that my home and my family is what kept me grounded, so Arizona will always be my heart". "And I know, that Arizona has given me good rappers to work with, like the time I hooked up with Riah and my cousin and help create our first rap group called MENACE, which ill get into detail some other time in a differed rap bio, too much **** I didnt mention, so forgive me for that". Jr replies that a lot more detail into his self discovery into the rap game will be released at another time. He claims that there is too much to tell and sometimes when life hands you a story you have to somewhat put it in a nutshell, atleast in his case this will be done upon request.
