The Wizard
The Wizard Bio:

"Katatonia, MDB, Anathema...Ha" scoffs Ol' Rusty Vintage Wizard Master, "This isn't doom metal, this is wuss metal"

The concept of The Wizard came as a responce to the "mainstream" doom metal scene. The intention was to bring the sound back thirty odd years to the days of Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, Budgie, Pentagram and Thin Lizzy as well as some newer bands like Manilla Road, Pagan Altar and of course Witchfinder General.

The Wizard was formed in mid 2004 by Ol' Rusty VIntage Wizard Master who began to write some songs and messed around with recording some of his ideas. By late 2004 Ol' Rusty had enough material to record a demo, so he asked a band mate from another metal group to join, this man went by the name of Blackie The Crimson Heretic of a Thousand Eyes. Blackie picked up bass duties for the band. The line up was allmost complete but they still needed a drummer so skins-master and comrade of Ol' Rusty and Blackie 'Pirate of Days' was recruited.

Recording started off swimingly, but with each member of the band leaving the frozen state of Tasmania to go to the mainland for various reasons during early 2005 it made it difficult. For a while the project was dead, and during this time Ol' Rusty formed another band 'Space Raven' as a sort of therapy band.

Some months later the members of The Wizard came to their senses and finished recording the band's first demo 'Worship Me'.
