The Van Hill Project Bio:
The Van Hill Project, or VHP was formed in late '05, when Josh Dunn(guitar/vocals), Mike Serra(guitar), Dustin Greene(drums), and Brian Arrowood(bass) joined forces and set out, not to change the face of the music industry, but to join the ranks of countless amazing artists already making tons of great music. The Band always had one main goal; not to get rich, or be famous, but simply to play the music they love, and HOPE the "hobby" will pay for itself.
Never wanting to limit themselves to any one audience group, VHP has always taken pride in playing many different styles of music, and therefore they could literally be placed in several different genres. They are a self proclaimed "rock band with a jazzy heavy metal acoustic punk twist". Mike, originally from Torrington, CT, and Dustin, of Greeneville, TN, bring a heavier style, with their love of bands like Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold, and Pantera, as well as "softer" groups such as Incubus, Breaking Benjamins, and Shinedown, while Josh originally from Key Largo, FL, brings a more mellow grove to things with his acoustic/folk and southern/classic rock roots, influenced by everything from The Beatles, Arlo Guthrie, Jack Johnson, and Jim Croce, to The Eagles, Doobie Brothers, and Aerosmith.
With combined influnces, tons of drive, and insane devotion, the Van Hill Project hopes to someday get the chance to influence other musicians, in the way so many great groups have influenced and inspired them.
