The Gourami
The Gourami Bio:

With low slung guitars, raw 'n sexy vocals and loud 'n dirty riffs, here is a band influenced equally by 'the roots of Blues and Rock 'n Roll' and 70's stadium behemoths, to the alternative sensibilities of the early 90's Grunge scene...... By no means a meat head metal act or superficial glam wannabes, the band insist they were created by the devil himself to rock your socks off..... This is a classic rock band in every sense...... This is..... 'The Gourami'

By the summer of 2000, brothers in rock, Bob and Scott Gourami had grown tired of what they were hearing from the then current flash-in-the-pan Nu-Metal scene, and the bed wetting antics of the Indie bands. The decision was then made to form an out and out rock band in the style of those they had loved and respected whilst growing up.

The dynamic duo spent three intense years of writing which led them to record three locally acclaimed demos:

# 'Is it like this in your head?' (2000)
# 'Swim Baby Swim' (2001)
# 'The Fish Remains the Same' (2002)

Finding the perfect rhythm man is never an easy task but despite not having a permanent drummer the band continued to play live wherever and whenever possible. The final addition to the line-up was made in Summer 2003, and came in the form of distinguished sticksman..... Chris “The Kid” Hayden. The song writing has most certainly come a long way over the last four years and although the core ethos of being the mightiest Rock act to come out of Essex, 'The Gourami' continue to evolve.

The band have notched up a huge number shows, playing all over London, Essex and further afield, gaining supports with the likes of 'The Darkness', 'Skunk Anansie', 'Engirica' 'the GA*GA*s' and
'The 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster'.

The band's "Dirt Rock City" recording sessions have yealded a fine crop of dirt laden rock n roll anthems. With a release date set for 4th July 2005
