Ray Kepel
Ray Kepel Bio:

Ray Kepel passed away in Sept 1990. He was by far the most talented musician I had ever worked with. He played bass, drums and guitar with nearly equal mastery. He left this Earth too soon but he managed to get some of his tunes on tape. I still miss him dearly. P.S. the picture was his goof on all those guitarist who try to show the most difficult chord they can. Ken Landry

Ray was broken up about this woman in Reno of which this song is based. He tried to stay in his hometown of Beaverton OR. He finally moved back to Sacramento and we started playing in bands again. Ray had an amazing voice. He sings and plays all instruments on this song.

This song was written and performed by Ray way back in 1985. Ray was my good bud and we'd stay in contact by sending each other our tunes. No effects or anything, just his voice and an old applause guitar.

This was from our cover band Vital Signs in the fashion-challenged ‘80s - Ray's vocals were superb and that's him tearing it up on the guitar (second solo) and ending riff. The very beginning is missing.
