Phil Scott

Phil Scott Bio:

Phil is a 23 year old singer-songwriter from Glasgow.

His music is best described as a fusion of his Americana and varied acoustic influences, including such artists as Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, Tracy Chapman, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Damien Rice and Counting Crows.

Phil started performing his music while at University in St.Andrews, where he gathered a loyal following at the well-respected venues of Aikman's Cellar Bar and TP's.

Following the release of his second album, "Eskimos & Butterflies", he toured the coffee-house circuit of San Francisco for 2 months in late 2005. There, he developed a strong local support and his single, "Mystery" earned airplay on numerous local college radio stations.

He then took some time off performing in order to travel in South America and Asia, before entering the well-respected Queensland Songwriter Competition in Australia. Despite the strong competition, he was awarded a coveted spot in the Grand Final.

Since then, he has returned to the UK and is now based in London where he is currently arranging gigs.
