Murdertrap
Murdertrap Bio:

In the year of 2004 the band Murdertrap was formed, by Singer: Sean Simpson, Guitarist: Josh Moore , and Bassist: Lee Nestlebush. These three had any idea circulating through their heads to make a band, but how would the band start of and how would it would it sound? The band began their endeavors by making small unique self produced tracks just for fun. The band had spent a year looking for their sound and with many efforts and trial and error the band finally came across it. The band began recording their sessions underneath the name Incision, which nothing was ever released. The band then came up with a new name, Murdertrap. The band realized that if they were going to be serious about their music they needed to find a drummer instead of recording just: Vocals, Guitar, and Bass. Later that year in 2004 while working around the busy schedule of the Marine Corp, they then ran across a drummer; Steve Daguezman, the drummer auditioned for the three with a opening up drum solo and Cannibal Corpse song – Hammer Smash Face. The band then realized they now had their drummer, and that it was time it was time to start getting serious. The band had begun to practice every day after Marine corp duties. The band would begin their practice sessions from 5:00pm to almost 3:30am. The band had finally completed a set of songs that was fit for recording and ready to be put on a CD. In late 2005 the band had recorded their first demo album: Colorful Yet Faded, this album was recorded in a large vehicle bay. The band had completed the first demo and began to hand out the album to people who wanted to hear something new.
The band continued to refine their songs and their music in hopes of recording a professional sounding album. The band had preformed for numerous occasions and had done many openings and shows. The band had also preformed a concert for the USO, a small good luck concert to those who were going to Iraq. The band opened up the concert for other local bands in the area. The band still continued to improve their songs and the sound, later within the year of 2005 the band had met up with female vocalist: Tonya Leis, who was recognized for her talents as a vocalist. She joined the band and added her own style to the music and bringing more open minded Ideals for the band to work off of. In winter of 2005 the band had recorded their second demo: Human to Creature on a low budget, and small recording studio. The band then worked with their own funds to make booklets and CD cases for the new demo CD’s printing off everything off, and distributing the demo’s themselves. The band continued to work and practice around the Marine Corps scheduling, deployments and the moving of band members to different units and bases. The struggle continued as they tried to complete the perfection and refining of there earlier songs.
In 2006, Murdertrap began to realize that they wanted to be more artistic and technical with their music. They began working around the clock to produce a new album with more of a structure to their music. The band produced a album called: Abaddon, the album was recorded but only with the vocals, guitar, and bass tracks. In 2007 the band experienced the separation of each member as the Marine corp had sent two band members overseas back to the states for new duty stations. Band members Sean Simpson and Lee Nestlebush continued to try to complete the album, and holding together the name. The album’s drum tracks were never finished until the late year of 2008. Sean Simpson continued to push for the completion of the band’s last album and met with some new talent. Sean had met up with Brenton Gray who, had helped complete the albums drum tracks and completed equalizing and refining the albums tracks. Sean and Brent finally completed the album, self producing them. The band has been working still to this day to complete their new album and bring back the metal sound that was Murdertrap. So welcome back the fall into darkness and The Last of a new beginning.
