Manic
Manic Bio:

It is always good when different styles blend together and work. It gives room for growth and versatility in a group. It allows for entrance into musical realms that haven't been tapped before and opens up the creative juices inside a normally dormant place in an artist. That is what this band has done for me. A lot of bands out there are good, but thier soap boxes because i believe they are musically cornered in thier one style. Well, there is no cookie cutting here, and Manic is 3 guys that stepped out of that experimental realm with a new sound, and style. It is raw yet contemporary and hard edged rock, with a funk twist. Dennis has a Neil Pert type command with an Alex Van feel, and Sam is arguably one of the best slap and funk bassists in Canada. His control of his instument is unmatched and most have commented that seeing him play is nothing short of jaw dropping. Armed with a haunting Morrison like vocal treatment, Sam is the first frontman of the band. James rounds it off with a hard metal/punk guitar style layered with eerie blues solo's and weeping bends with fast riffery that show the Slash/Hendrix infuence underneath the Metallica, and tops it of with an original writing and vocal style as the second frontman of the band. Sam and Dennis are from Toronto and James originally from Vancouver, and grew up in California.
