Laid To Waste Bio:
The band originally started in year 2002 with the guitar player, Justin McGregor, and the original drummer named P.J. (currently the drummer for Undecided). P.J. then introduced Colin to Justin and once they realized how alike in styles they were they quickly formed a unique friendship. P.J. left the band shortly after it started, presenting Justin and Colin with a new task of finding a drummer. After months of searching and plenty of discouragement, a 19 year old drummer from Cambelton, NB named Eric Gibbs answered the add for a drummer. He was instantly accepted into the band after blowing away Justin and Colin with their own song! After about a year and a half of playing and 14 originals later, the boys decided to tie the not and look for a singer. After trying out a few with no success, Andre Saulnier, a singer from Memeramcook NB replied to Justin's add on a locals internet forum. When he wrote lyrics to some of the bands hardest songs on the spot and sang them perfectly, It was needless to say that he was accepted without question. In July of 2004 Laid to waste decided they needed a second guitar to form long melodic harmony lines, and to have a larger presence on stage. Justin then called up his friend Marco Gervais, who he had been jamming with on and off for the past 6 or 7 years. At first Marco was a little reluctant to join the band but when he heard the demo he jumped at the oportunity instantly. Laid to Waste has decided to redo their demo during the christmas break of 2004/2005 and was a great success. The demo was recorded in under a week at Danny Bourgois' studio. Laid to waste is currently hitting up the local scene and receiving a great response. They are hoping to have a full length album ready to record and promote within a year.
