Isaac Pula Bio:

Isaac Pula was born in April 1971 in a little Village called Utualii Saleimoa. He Started primary school from 1977-1985. He started College at Church College of Western Samoa in 1986-1988. Isaac came from a family of five brothers and three sisters and he is the fifth child out of nine children. His passion for music started at a very young age and has been singing ever since he was ten years old.
He was first introduced to the public by one of the Legendary Samoan Singer, Faanana Jerome Grey In the late1980s during the Coca Cola Festival at the Apia Park Stadium. And that’s how he met up with one of Samoa Legendary Icon Producer/Songwriter Pene Solomona Matautia and the Owner of the Mount Vaea Night Club Oli Brown. This is where he started building his confidence by singing in the Mt Vaea Band until the early 90s when his whole family migrated to New Zealand.
His first album was recorded in 1996 by Seti Tofaeono who was the sound engineer and owner of Asomua Recording Studio. Isaac not only he can write his own music but also sings English cover songs. His musicians for the first album were Ioane Vaofusi, Fouvale Filoa, (Founder of Faatalatala Se Mata E Emo Band) and there he met up with Pole’o brothers whom were his musicians for his second, third and fourth album.
At this time he is still known by Isaako Pula until he met Vili Ieru who is the owner of Vision Recording Studio. Vili Ieru realized that Isaako Pula should be changed to Isaac Pula because of the fact that his style of music not only is much- admired by his own community but by other ethnicities. Vision Recording studio and Isaac Pula’s collaboration included his 5th Album named Galu e le fati, 6th Album, I gave you my heart, 7th Album, Samoa Rising Star, 8th Album, Christmas with Isaac Pula and the 9th Album, Makerita. Isaac Pula’s Christmas Cd is still the most selling Christmas Cd in the market during Christmas time every single year. Isaac Pula’s 5-8 Album was programmed by a young and talented Levae Sila Levae and produced solely by himself. His Volume 9 was programmed by Simon Tufuga and solely produced by Isaac. His number 10 Album, Man of Reggae, was recorded by Levae Sila Levae, owner of Fiafia Records at Melbourne Australia 2001.
Isaac Pula had a break from the music business and moved to Australia with his family and he met up with the owner of the Fresh of the Boat Joe Sitoa and the Dj’s Tikels and Gunnz. Isaac and Joe work alongside each other during this period of time as one of his songs was included in the Fresh of The boat remixes (Sogi Tasi Maia Dear ia Ita). During this period of time he did the opening for one of Reggae Music Icon, Lucky Dube’s live concert at the St James Theatre New Zealand. In 2004 Isaac recorded his 11th album, Rise n Illusion, from Fiji by a well-known South Pacific Region Artist/Producer Daniel Rae Costello.
He is a very talented young man with a melodic voice made an indelible mark on lover’s reggae music. And you think you’ve heard it all – just wait a little while longer - you ‘ain’t heard nothing yet’; cause Isaac Pula Nearly completed his soon-to-be-released new album, Called !!Superior Force!! . He is now collaborating with Lukie D, a Jamaican Well Known Singer and Producer and one of the South Pacific Legendary Artist, Daniel Rae Costello. Isaac Pula said “There was and an Unfinished Script of his music career” and that’s why he called this new Album,!!Superior Force!!. One of the songs in this new album includes an Original song by one of the Biggest Polynesian Artist of our time with His Golden Voice, Fiji Veikoso called ALRIGHT. Fiji Veikoso has already given his written authorization and blessing for him to redo his song.
