Cobalt Fur is a rock trio originating from Milwaukee, Wisconsin formed in 1998.
Danny Wendt, also known as D'Wendt in the local Milwaukee circuit, created the band name Cobalt Fur while in
high school.

In 1996 the debut album "Musik Fur Das Hexentanz" was recorded by DWendt under the name of Cobalt Fur at
Junkyard Studios with audio-engineer Jeff Hamilton. The album was then independently released in 1997. Soon
after the albums release, the song Grey (Achromatic), considered to be one of their finest songs, began to receive
air play on several local radio stations.

Through the encouragement of many local and national artists, DWendt formulated the band known as Cobalt Fur.
Veteran drummer, Brian Knox, joined the Cobalt Fur in 1998, along with greenhorn bassist Mike Hintzke. Cobalt Fur
soon began to showcasing their musical talents at many local Milwaukee music venues.

In the year 2000, Cobalt Fur released the album, "Neat Chair", featuring the song "That Right?" which is considered
to be one of their most innovative and radio-friendly songs to date.

After a four-year hiatus Cobalt Fur regrouped in 2004 where they continue to create and fine-tune their pioneering
sound.

Currently in the studio recording a double-cd to be released as soon as completed, with original songs ranging in styles as diverse as Traditional Irish Folk, Eastern Indian, progressive neo-classical guitar, Electronic new wave, punk, and straight out, "LIVE", in-your-face ROCK.

"Grey(achromatic)" is considered by many to be one of COBALT FUR's best songs and still recieves random airplay throughout the U.S. and scattered about Europe on local unsigned radio shows after nearly 8 years since it's debut in 1997.
Borrowing heavily from Led-Zeppelins "Hard/Heavy" trademark style, "Grey(Achromatic)" characterizes Cobalt Fur's living tribute to 70's ROCK.

"This is a classic. really familiar, but i've never heard anything quite like it. a new take on tradition. it's a nine for immediate impact - could rise to 10 with repeated listening!"
