Averi
Averi Bio:

Averi will steal your girlfriend, according to the Boston Phoenix. What they mean is that girls seem to have a tough time pulling themselves away from listening to and seeing the Boston five-some and make up the bulk of their passionate, loyal supporters. Winners of the 2005 Boston Music Award for Best Local Rock Band, Averi has been packing Boston and Northeast clubs and colleges since 2001, done damage down the East Coast and into the mid-West and been featured alongside such artists as Gavin DeGraw, Guster, Barenaked Ladies, Goo Goo Dolls, Hanson, Backstreet Boys, Matchbox 20 and many more. "The bands irresistible hooks, irrepressible energy, and sheer love of the stage have turned them into one of [Boston's] top draws," says the Boston Globe's Joan Anderman.

The Boston Globe was also right with their prediction, Averi was THE act to watch in 2005, having finished up the year headlining the Avalon Ballroom (2000-person capacity) and totaling more than 20,000 copies of their sophomore disc Drawn to Revolving Doors, produced by Scott Riebling (Letters to Cleo, American Hi-Fi), sold independently to nearly every state in the U.S. as well as 22 countries around the world.

Averis hook-filled rock anthems, introspective ballads and sax-tinged pop-soul gems left a serious impression in 2005, with the groups latest record debuting at ..9 on Billboards Hitseekers Chart, four Boston Music Award nominations, being named Newbury Comics/Boston Phoenixs Best Wicked Good Band and undoubtedly is one of the countrys top unsigned acts and independent music juggernauts.

But Averi is just warming up and is ready to be a part of even more madness in 2006. The band has a new record in the works and plans to be attacking even more colleges and clubs across the nation with the incendiary duo of singer/guitarist Mike Golarz and saxophonist/everything-but-the-kitchen-sink provider Michael Currier, supported by the strong-armed guitar playing of Stu Berk and the titanium rhythm section of Chris Tilden (bass) and Matt Lydon (drums).
